Following up on quarterly review actions

Actions for you, actions for us and how actions are tracked - explained

Every quarterly review typically generates a small number of actions. Following up on these promptly makes the reviews genuinely useful rather than just informational.

Actions for you

Common actions for the client include: reviewing and approving a document, sending information we have requested, making a payment (such as a pension contribution), or notifying us of a decision (such as whether to proceed with an asset purchase before year-end).

Actions for us

We note actions for the BSQ Accounting team in your client record. These might include: preparing dividend paperwork, updating your payroll salary, registering for a new HMRC service, or following up on an outstanding HMRC matter.

How actions are tracked

We track these actions in our practice management software against the quarterly review task that gets rolled forward to the next period. You will also have received a summary of any actions or recommendations in the quarterly review report.

💡 Good to know: The value of a quarterly review is only realised if the actions coming out of it are completed. Your named accountant will follow up on outstanding actions in the next review if they have not been resolved, but prompt follow-through on your side makes everything faster and more effective.
