Named accountant: what to expect on Accounting Scale
What your named accountant does, and what the wider support team does - explained
With the Accounting Scale plan, you are assigned a named accountant who is your primary point of contact for all accounting and tax matters.
What your named accountant does
- Manages your account and oversees all compliance work
- Leads your quarterly business performance and tax review
- Provides written recommendations following your annual tax efficiency review
- Is available by email and phone within the 48-hour SLA
The wider support team
Your named accountant is supported by the wider BSQ Accounting team based in London. For some queries, particularly Xero support or payroll queries: a team member may handle your request on behalf of your named accountant. Your named accountant remains accountable for your overall account.
If your named accountant changes
If your named accountant leaves or needs to be reassigned, we will notify you in advance, organise an introduction to the replacement, and provide a continuity of service guarantee.
💡 Good to know: Named accountant access is a key differentiator of the Accounting Scale plan. If you are on Accounting Simple or Accounting Standard plan and would like a more direct relationship with a specific accountant, upgrading to Accounting Scale is the route to this.
