How to track a company formation order
Once you have submitted your incorporation application, you can monitor its progress and complete the remaining steps through your order tracker. This article walks you through each stage, from identity verification through to incorporation.
Accessing your order tracker
After submitting your application, you will receive a link to your order tracker by email and by SMS, if supported. The tracker is your central hub for completing each required step and monitoring your application's progress all the way through to formation.
On the tracker you will find:
• Your unique order number
• The date your order was received
• Your current order status, showing where your application is in the registration process

Step 1: Personal verification
The first step is to complete personal verification. Every individual listed on your application must verify their identity using the unique verification link provided within the tracker. This link can also be found in your initial confirmation email.
💡 If you see the same name appearing more than once in the tracker but with only one verification link, there is no cause for concern. This typically occurs when a person is both the account holder and part of the company structure. In this case, you only need to complete the verification once.
Once verification has been submitted, the tracker will display one of three statuses for each individual:
• Pending — verification has not yet been started
• Complete — a green tick indicates that verification was successful
• Unsuccessful — a red cross indicates that verification was not successful
If verification is successful, our team will review the submission. Once everything has satisfied our checks, we will proceed with requesting your Personal Verification Code from Companies House on your behalf.

Step 2: Personal Verification Code (PVC)
Once identity verification is complete, the next step is to enter your Personal Verification Code (PVC).
The Companies House Personal Verification Code is a unique 11-character alphanumeric code issued to directors and Persons with Significant Control (PSCs) upon successful identity verification. We will request this from Companies House on your behalf once your verification has been approved.
The PVC email from Companies House is typically sent within a few minutes of verification being completed. Each individual will receive their own separate email, sent from noreply@companieshouse.gov.uk with the subject line: "Your identity has been verified for Companies House".
Once received, enter the code into the PVC section of your order tracker. Please double-check that the code has been entered correctly before submitting, as an incorrect code will result in your application being rejected by Companies House.
Step 3: Submission and incorporation
After all PVCs have been entered correctly, a green tick will appear next to the PVC section of your tracker. This confirms that all personal verification steps have been completed and that no further action is required from you.
Your order will then be passed to our submissions team, who will conduct a final review of your company details before submitting to Companies House.
You can continue to monitor progress through the tracker as your application moves from pre-submission, to 'Submitted to Companies House', and finally to 'Incorporated'.
Once incorporated, you will receive a separate email containing all of your official company documents, along with information about any additional services included with your order.
