What ID documents do we accept?

The forms of ID and proof of address we accept

All customers and company officers are required to provide valid identification, and in some cases, you may also be asked to submit proof of address. We have partnered with Onfido to provide a simple and secure process for submitting your ID and address documents. Please see the acceptable document types below:

ID Verification

  • All countries: A biometric or machine-readable passport

  • UK: Driving licence

  • Ireland: Biometric or machine-readable passport, or Irish Passport Card

  • EU/EEA/Channel Islands/Isle of Man: Photocard driving licence or biometric ID card

Please note: if you are a non-UK resident outside of the EU/EEA, you must provide a valid passport. 

Proof of Address

If you have been asked to provide a proof of address document, this must be:

  • A bank statement, council tax bill, or utility bill (gas, water, or electricity)

  • Clearly addressed to you

  • Clearly displaying your full residential address (not a business address)

  • Dated within the last 3 months

  • In the original format (e.g. a downloaded PDF, not a screenshot)
