Our ID Verification Process

Understand each step of our secure ID verification process.

After you place an order, we are required to complete identity verification checks before your company can be formed. 

  1. Submit your order
    Once your order is submitted, our team complete an initial review of your details.
  2. Receive your secure verification link
    Shortly after submission, you will receive a secure personal link to complete ID verification via Onfido. This link will be sent to you via email. An SMS will be sent only if SMS notifications are supported for your application. 
  3. Complete identity checks
    You will be asked to:
    • Provide ID document(s)
    • Complete facial recognition (selfie verification)
    • In some cases, submit proof of address through the app
  4. Submit your Personal Verification Code (if you haven’t already)
    After ID verification, we will submit your details to Companies House. They will issue your Personal Verification Code (PVC) and send it to the personal email address you supplied in the application. You must then upload your PVC to your Client Portal.
  5. Review and submission
    Once successfully completed, your application is passed to our Reviews Team and then submitted to Companies House.
  6. Company formation
    Companies House typically processes formations within 1 working day. Once complete, we will email you confirmation that your company has been formed.

How to avoid delays or rejections

To ensure your application is processed as quickly as possible, please follow these guidelines:

1. Check your details carefully

Along with the verification link, we will confirm the personal information you submitted to us, including:

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Residential address

Make sure all details are correct. Any mismatch between your documents and submitted information will delay verification. If you notice a discrepancy, inform us immediately so we can update your details and generate a new link.

2. Use the correct ID documents

We recommend using a biometric or machine-readable passport where possible, as this is accepted for all customers.

We can also accept the following:

  • UK: Driving licence, biometric residence permit (valid or expired up to 18 months), residence card, or Frontier Worker Permit
  • Ireland: Biometric or machine-readable passport, or Irish Passport Card
  • EU/EEA/Channel Islands/Isle of Man: Photocard driving licence or biometric ID card
3. Complete verification promptly

Complete your ID checks as soon as you receive the link. The faster you submit, the faster your company can be incorporated.

4. Inform all company officers

If your company has multiple directors or members, ensure everyone completes their ID verification promptly. The company cannot be formed until all required individuals have been verified.
