Confirmation statement service — how it works
Everything you need to know about filing your annual confirmation statement through 1st Formations
What is a confirmation statement?
Every limited company and LLP registered in the UK must file a confirmation statement with Companies House once a year. It confirms that the information held on public record is accurate and up to date.
The confirmation statement covers:
Registered office address
Company officers
SIC codes
Share capital
Shareholders
People with significant control (PSC)
Important: Failure to file your confirmation statement will result in your company being struck off and closed down. This applies whether your company is actively trading or dormant — there are no exceptions.
Our confirmation statement services
We offer two services to file your confirmation statement on your behalf. Both options include the Companies House filing fee.

How the process works
- Purchase the service. Choose either our Express or Standard confirmation statement service from our website.
- Check your inbox. After purchase, our Confirmation Statements Team will send you an email containing a Get Started or File Now button. If you don't see it, please check your spam or junk folder.
- Complete the questionnaire. Click the button in the email and fill in the short questionnaire with the required information about your company.
- We file on your behalf. Once your completed questionnaire is submitted, our team will prepare and file your confirmation statement with Companies House within your chosen service timeframe.
