How our monthly Xero health checks work and when to expect them
Accounting Scale clients receive a Xero health check every month. Monthly reviews ensure issues are caught and corrected quickly, and that your records are always in a clean state for management reporting and VAT preparation.
Timing
We complete monthly health checks by the 7th working day after month-end. Some business owners have a busy start to the month and prefer to receive theirs later, once they have time to act on any recommendations, so Accounting Scale clients can ask for a specific date each month and we will accommodate this wherever possible.
How health checks and management accounts work together
If you have added the monthly management accounts service, we coordinate the two so that your accounts are built on clean, reviewed data. We carry out the health check first and confirm any recommendations have been actioned; once confirmed, we prepare your management accounts report within 1 working day.
💡 Good to know: Monthly health checks on Accounting Scale mean any bookkeeping issues are identified and flagged to you to give time for you to get them resolved within weeks rather than building up over a full quarter. This significantly reduces the volume of queries at VAT return time.
