Quarterly Xero health checks on Accounting Standard
How to prepare for your Quarterly Xero health check and when these will be scheduled
Accounting Standard clients receive a Xero health check once per quarter. Health checks are timed to take place before the VAT return preparation process begins.
When your quarterly health check happens
We schedule your health check for 2 weeks prior to your VAT quarter end and send you advance notice of this review date. If your business is not VAT-registered, we will schedule this in the two weeks following the quarter end, again giving advance notice.
What to do before your quarterly health check
- Ensure your bank account is fully reconciled up to the review date
- Ensure all invoices raised in the quarter are approved, not in draft
- Ensure all supplier bills received in the quarter are entered with documents attached
- Submit any outstanding expense claims for the quarter
💡 Good to know: The more complete your Xero records are before the health check, the more useful the review will be. If records are significantly behind, the health check will flag this but cannot resolve incomplete coding without your input.
