Updating your registered address

Why keeping your registered address up to date matters, and how to change it

Your registered address is the official address for your limited company as shown on the Companies House public register. It must be kept up to date at all times.

Why the registered address matters

HMRC and Companies House both use your registered address for correspondence, including tax activation codes, compliance notices, and annual reminders. If the address is wrong, you may miss important communications and deadlines.

How to change your registered address

Contact us before making any change. A change of registered address requires a Companies House filing (form AD01) which must be made promptly. Email support@bsqaccounting.co.uk and we will ensure this is processed promptly for you.

Using our address as your registered address

If you purchased our Privacy, All Inclusive, or All Inclusive with Accounting package when you formed your company, use of our London office address as your registered office is included as part of this service. Alternatively, this is also available as a separate service from £39 +VAT per year.

💡 Important: Do not update your registered address directly on Companies House without telling us first. We need to ensure any correspondence currently in transit to the old address is accounted for before the change takes effect.
