Our Xero health checks - explained
Xero health checks are structured reviews of your Xero records carried out by our team. They are included in our Accounting Standard and Accounting Scale plans.
- Accounting Standard quarterly health check (four times per year)
- Accounting Scale: monthly health check (12 times per year)
What our Xero health check covers
- Bank reconciliation: is the bank fully reconciled with no unmatched transactions?
- VAT codes: are the correct codes applied to transactions?
- Invoices: are all invoices approved rather than sitting in draft?
- Bills: are supplier bills entered with documents attached?
- Director Loan Account: what is the current balance and direction of movement?
- Duplicate transactions: are there any obvious duplicates in the bank feed?
What happens after a Xero health check
We send you a summary by email noting anything that needs your attention.
💡 Good to know: Xero health checks are most effective when your Xero records are reasonably up to date. Months of unreconciled transactions make the review less useful and take longer to work through.
