A list of the key filing and payment deadlines for a UK limited company
These are the key annual deadlines for a UK limited company. We monitor all of these on your behalf and will always alert you well in advance.
Annual filing deadlines
- Companies House accounts: nine months after your accounting year-end
- Corporation Tax return (CT600): 12 months after your accounting year-end
- Confirmation statement: annually by the anniversary of incorporation or last filing
- Director Self Assessment return: 31 January following the 5 April tax year-end
Payment deadlines
- Corporation Tax payment: nine months and one day after your accounting year-end
- Self Assessment payment: 31 January (first payment on account also 31 January, second on 31 July)
- VAT return and payment: one month and seven days after each quarter-end
- PAYE payment to HMRC: 22nd of the month following each payroll
💡 Good to know: You will never be surprised by a filing deadline we manage on your behalf. But there are obligations that only you can fulfil, such as responding to HMRC letters and approving returns we send you. Responding promptly is the most important thing you can do to avoid missed deadlines.
